This qualification is designed for individuals who require further foundation skills development to prepare for workforce entry or vocational training pathways.
It is suitable for individuals who require:
· a pathway to employment or vocational training
· reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 3
· entry level digital literacy and employability skills
· a vocational training and employment plan
To be awarded a Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways qualification, competency must be achieved in 14 units made up of 8 core units and 6 elective units

FSKLRG09 Use strategies to respond to routine workplace problems
FSKLRG11 Use routine strategies for work-related learning
FSKNUM14 Calculate with whole numbers and familiar fractions, decimals and percentages for work

Elective unit selection will be completed through consultation with your course advisor and must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintaining the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome

Candidates are required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment at application for admission which is used to determine the level of support (if any) that may be required, or adjustment needed to the training plan on enrolment.
