Course Structure and Potential Career Outcomes
This qualification reflects the role of frontline retail team members who use a defined and limited range of operational skills to undertake workplace activities. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision of others.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.
Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as frontline team member, customer service assistant and point-of-sale operator.
To be awarded a Certificate II in Retail Services qualification, competency must be achieved in 12 units made up of 7 core units and 5 elective units

Elective unit selection will be completed through consultation with your course advisor and must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintaining the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome
Requirements
The are no pre-requisites for entry into this course however, candidates are required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment at application for admission which is used to determine the level of support (if any) that may be required, or adjustment needed to the training plan on enrolment.
